Washington D.C. – Today, House Armed Services Committee Ranking Member Smith (D-WA) released the following statement about the administration’s request for additional funding for FY 2017:

“The administration has requested additional funding for the Defense and State Departments for operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and elsewhere. We will assess the details of this request and determine how best to provide for these needs.”
