Washington, D.C. – Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee Mike Rogers (R-AL) and U.S. Representatives Seth Moulton (D-MA), Ro Khanna (D-CA), and Jimmy Panetta (D-CA) released the following statement after leading a bipartisan congressional delegation to Israel and Jordan. In Israel, the delegation met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In Jordan, the delegation met with His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.

“In Israel, we made it clear that the relationship between the U.S. and Israel remains ironclad. We are proud to stand with Israel and support their right to self-defense. We also stressed the importance of the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis and help stabilize the region.

“In Jordan, we reiterated our commitment to the U.S.-Jordan relationship—a crucial component of countering terrorism and maintaining regional stability.

“We also met with U.S. servicemembers working around the clock to defend our national interests.

“Countering terrorism and deterring Iran requires strong coordination with our regional partners. It’s vital to ensure that Israel and Jordan both continue to receive the support they need to keep their nations safe and promote stability in the region.”
