Washington, D.C. – Today, House Armed Services Committee Ranking Member Adam Smith (D-WA) released the following statement in remembrance of the anniversary of September 11, 2001: 

“We will never forget the attack on our country of September 11, 2001, nor the heroism of all those who sacrificed on that day and in our fight to keep the United States safe from terrorism.

“Today is a day to remember them and their deeds, and to remind ourselves of everything that is at stake when it comes to the national security of our country."
